Heidi Buschbach, mother of 4 (ages 19 down to 10), has been studying Charlotte Mason’s philosophy for the past 15 years as she strives to put living principles into practice in her homeschool room. 12 years ago, Heidi founded and still helps lead a local CM community in the Twin Cities area called “Spread the Feast.” In the past, she has enjoyed organizing CM events for parents and families, such as monthly fellowship teas, nature hikes, immersions/seminars, topical mentoring sessions, and book discussions.
Heidi has a particular interest in researching Charlotte Mason’s methods for implementing music education. She has led rec center camps with her church, written lessons for the Alveary, and in 2017 launched a CM music website entitled “Miss Mason’s Music.” (missmasonsmusic.com)

In 2021, she helped start a new microschool, as curriculum developer,  in St. Paul, MN based on many of Mason’s Principles: Laurel Community School.

Most recently, Heidi was blessed to be a substitute teacher for the fall 2022 semester at “Hope Farm School,” established for teen, urban boys from the Twin Cities. While on staff, she was tasked with helping the school begin to implement Charlotte Mason’s principles and practices. She found it to be a delightful adventure living on a farm for 4 months and ministering Christ’s love and the beauty of a living education to boys in need.

In her free time, Heidi enjoys baking bread and other yummy foods from scratch, gardening, singing in her church choir, hymn sings, having parties in her home and hosting and tutoring kids in need. You can contact her at missmasonsmusic@gmail.com.
